02What data we collect
Price alert emails
If you sign up for deal or price alerts on a car page, we store your email address, the model you subscribed to, the page you signed up on and the time of sign-up, together with your consent.
Messages you send us
If you email us, we keep your message and contact details to answer you.
Technical data
Like most websites, our servers automatically log technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages and time of access. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting and preventing abuse.
Cookies and local storage
We use strictly necessary storage to make the site work and to remember your cookie choice and which pop-ups you have closed. Statistics or analytics cookies, if we use them, are only set after you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for chinamotor.co.uk.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your email address with advertisers or partners — deal emails are sent by ChinaMotor.
04How long we keep it
- Price alert subscriptions: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and at most 24 months after your last subscription.
- Emails you send us: as long as needed to handle your request.
- Server logs: for a limited period, typically no longer than 90 days.
05Who processes data for us
Our website is hosted on servers provided by a hosting provider, which processes data on our behalf. If we use an email-sending or analytics service, it will act only on our instructions. Some providers may be located outside your country; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards.
