About the C10

The Leapmotor C10 is the brand's biggest model in the UK: a 4.73 m mid-size SUV that competes with cars such as the Skoda Enyaq while costing much less. It comes in one Design specification at about £36,500. Leapmotor also sold a range-extender (REEV) version, which the UK website now lists as stock only.

## Battery, range and charging

The electric C10 uses a 69.9 kWh battery for a WLTP range of up to 263 miles, with official consumption of 18.8 kWh/100 km. Rapid charging is its weak spot: the 84 kW peak means 30–80% takes about 30 minutes. An 11 kW on-board charger speeds up AC charging. The REEV combines a 28.4 kWh battery with a 1.5-litre petrol generator for a combined range of up to 602 miles.

## Performance and driving

A rear-mounted motor produces 218 PS and 320 Nm, enough for 0–62 mph in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 105 mph. The ride is tuned for comfort rather than sportiness. The C10 is not rated to tow.

## Interior and space

The boot holds 485 litres, or 1,645 litres with the rear seats down, and there are 26 storage spaces around the cabin plus a front storage compartment. Rear legroom is generous. Standard kit includes heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, an electric tailgate and 20-inch alloys.

## Technology and safety

A 14.6-inch 2.5K touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument display run Leap OS, which receives over-the-air updates. There is a 12-speaker sound system, and the air vents are electrically adjustable. Safety includes 17 driver-assistance functions, a 360-degree camera and driver-fatigue monitoring, and the C10 has a five-star Euro NCAP rating.

## Who is it for?

Families who need space and plenty of standard kit and mostly charge at home. Rivals include the Skoda Enyaq, Kia EV5 and BYD Sealion 7.
